TechFlow reports on January 2: Ninal Rong, Head of Partnerships at the Arbitrum Foundation, stated that the Arbitrum Foundation will provide funding support for the continued operation of Week in Ethereum News and will contact its founder to discuss specific arrangements. Earlier today, BlockBeats reported that Week in Ethereum News announced it would cease operations after the Ethereum Foundation discontinued its funding. Founder Evan Van Ness wrote, "Due to a conversation earlier this year with leadership at the Ethereum Foundation (EF), I am announcing that this newsletter will terminate operations—the foundation no longer sees value in continuing Week in Ethereum News. Today I learned that the Ethereum Foundation spent $135 million in 2023, yet became stingy when it came to funding one of the best technical newsletters in the ecosystem (there may be other background reasons I'm unaware of)."
