TechFlow news, December 31 — According to Arkham monitoring, Vitalik's address has just donated 50 ETH to the Juice Box: Free Alexey & Roman address. Funds raised by this project will support the legal defense of Tornado Cash developers Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm.
In May this year, Tornado Cash co-founder Alexey Pertsev was sentenced to 64 months in prison by a Dutch court on money laundering charges. He is currently still awaiting trial, and his defense team needs to raise approximately $1.5 million for legal fees. The trial of the other developer, Roman Storm, has been postponed to April 14, 2025. Earlier on November 24, Pertsev's bail application was rejected, and he will remain in detention.
