TechFlow News — baiyu, head of the CKB Ecosystem Fund, tweeted that the RGB++ protocol is the strategic focus of the CKB Ecosystem Fund for this cycle. The fund will continue to allocate substantial resources to develop the protocol in the current and upcoming phases. The goal is to establish RGB++ as the equivalent of Ethereum’s ERC20 and ERC721 on Bitcoin’s Layer 1, bringing enhanced smart contract capabilities and scalability to the Bitcoin and UTXO ecosystems. It is reported that RGB++ will next support the $Doge chain and launch a Meme launchpad on Doge following the release of its BTC Meme launchpad.
He also noted that the Lightning Network is a key long-term strategic direction for CKB, which will significantly strengthen RGB++'s competitive advantage. Notably, several teams are currently not only focused on developing their respective protocols but are also advancing compatibility with the Lightning Network, such as Taproot Assets and RGB. As of now, SEAL, the leading Meme coin in the RGB++ ecosystem, has surged 50% within 24 hours, while CKB has risen 12%.
