TechFlow reported on November 19 that, according to CryptoSlate, Jason Lowery, author of "Softwar" and a U.S. Space Force major, announced he has submitted an application to serve as a military advisor to the National Security Council (NSC) and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).
Lowery plans to advise the Department of Defense on the strategic national importance of proof-of-work (PoW) technology, as well as policies regarding a strategic Bitcoin reserve and a U.S. computational power force. He believes PoW technology can serve as a non-kinetic defense system, deterring cyber threats by imposing physical costs through electricity consumption.
