TechFlow reports that TonBit, a team under BitsLab, recently discovered and helped patch two critical vulnerabilities in the TON Virtual Machine. One of the vulnerabilities could have been exploited by malicious contracts to trigger abnormal crashes in the virtual machine, potentially compromising network stability.
The official TON development team has addressed these issues in the latest GitHub release by adjusting the internal processing mechanisms of the virtual machine, effectively preventing such attacks and providing a more secure and stable operating environment for the TON ecosystem. The TON team officially acknowledged TonBit for their contribution. As an official Security Assurance Provider (SAP) for TON, TonBit once again demonstrated its professional capabilities in blockchain security.
