TechFlow News, October 14 — According to Chainwire, Web3 mobile gaming project Flappy Bird Foundation has announced the completion of a new funding round totaling $2 million. The round was co-led by Kenetic Capital and Scytale Ventures, with participation from Big Brain Holdings, Optic Capital, and 4SV.
Michael Roberts, Chief Creative Officer of Flappy Bird Foundation, said the new funds will be used to add a series of Web3 features to the classic game, aiming to attract nostalgic players as well as a new generation of users. The project plans to preserve the original game’s core gameplay while introducing new modes and characters, and leveraging Web3 technology to provide reward mechanisms for players.
