TechFlow News, October 12 — According to The Block, Evan Cheng, co-founder and CEO of Mysten Labs, said in an interview at the Mainnet conference in New York that the crypto industry’s "ChatGPT moment" has not yet arrived but is just around the corner. He emphasized that the Sui blockchain, by attracting "disruptive developers" and enabling extensive experimentation, is poised to lead this breakthrough.
Regarding the upcoming SuiPlay0X1 handheld gaming device set for release in 2025, Cheng stressed it is a "software play," not a hardware one. He explained: "This is a device capable of running all Windows games. Its strength lies in deep software integration and operating system integration. Even for existing Web3 gamers, it's a superior product due to its software advantages."
On partnerships, Sui has established collaborations across a broad spectrum, ranging from ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, to the relaunched MoviePass. Cheng noted that Sui seeks like-minded partners regardless of specific industries. Speaking about Sui’s positioning as a relatively new Layer 1 blockchain, Cheng stated: "We believe this space will grow 10x, 100x. We are confident in our authentic voice and will stay committed to it. Our success isn’t just about taking market share from existing players—it’s about expanding the entire market."
