TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg, sources revealed that AI coding startup Poolside is in talks for a new funding round targeting approximately $500 million, with a valuation reaching $3 billion. Existing investor Bain Capital Ventures is negotiating to lead the round. As of press time, neither Poolside nor Bain Capital Ventures has commented on the matter.
Poolside was founded in early 2023 by Jason Warner, former CTO of GitHub, and software entrepreneur Eiso Kant. After securing a $126 million seed funding round, the startup relocated to France last year. Meanwhile, two other Paris-based startups, Mistral AI and H, have also raised substantial funds to develop generative AI models.
