TechFlow reports that Castile, a Roguelike role-playing game built on Aptos, has announced a one-month public beta launch and plans to distribute 10 million CAST tokens as rewards prior to the official token launch. The public beta will run from September 10 to October 10, 2024, Beijing time, and is available on iOS, Android, and PC platforms.
Nytro Lab, the game’s developer, has also completed an $8 million funding round, bringing its total raised capital to $25 million. The latest $8 million round was led by SevenX Ventures, with participation from OKX Ventures, Aptos Labs, HashKey Capital, and other institutions. Nytro Lab plans to use the funds to support monthly content updates, launch community initiatives, and expand partnerships.
Castile combines core Roguelike mechanics with RPG elements and leverages NFT technology to enable marketplace trading of in-game cards. Since its alpha test in May, the game has introduced four new features: powerful Tarot accessories, equipment purchases using Tarocoin, boss-rush speed challenges, and a new tournament mode.
