TechFlow News, September 2 — According to Venture Beta, Mysten Labs, the team behind the Sui blockchain, has unveiled full specifications for the SuiPlay0X1 gaming handheld and launched its pre-order campaign. As the first portable gaming device integrated with Sui's native blockchain technology, the SuiPlay0X1 runs on the Playtron operating system that is independent of hardware, aiming to revolutionize the Web3 gaming experience.
The SuiPlay0X1 is priced at $600 (excluding shipping and taxes) and supports payments in SUI, ETH, and SOL tokens. Mysten Labs stated that the first 1,000 pre-order customers will receive a soulbound non-fungible token (NFT), granting them special privileges, rewards, and other benefits. Device deliveries are expected to begin in 2025.
Upon release, the SuiPlay0X1 will be compatible with games from major platforms including Epic Games and Steam. Additionally, Mysten Labs plans to launch native games built on the Sui ecosystem, such as Xociety—a shooter with RPG elements—and Dark Times—a medieval-themed battle royale game—further expanding the Web3 gaming landscape.
