TechFlow news, on July 29, Raoul Pal, former Goldman Sachs executive and founder of macro research firm Real Vision, said on social media that Bitcoin is about to break out of a massive cup-and-handle pattern into what he calls the "banana zone."
Pal previously explained that this zone represents a cyclical phase when liquidity enters the market—specifically when central banks need to refinance all debts and thus "candy up" the public. During such periods, cryptocurrencies typically experience vertical rallies. This is driven by macroeconomic forces tied to the debt refinancing cycle, which affects prices across all asset classes, but cryptocurrencies tend to outperform significantly.
