TechFlow reports that following the conclusion of the Bitcoin 2024 event, numerous scams on YouTube continue impersonating Elon Musk with "double your money" fraud schemes. These scams disguise themselves as official Bitcoin 2024 livestreams, deceiving unsuspecting users into surrendering their cryptocurrency assets. Over the weekend alone, multiple fake livestream videos impersonating Musk defrauded users, with one video alone stealing over $28,000 worth of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin. Scammers used AI-generated deepfake videos of Musk to trick viewers into sending cryptocurrencies, which were then stolen.
