TechFlow reported, according to YNA, that a fire broke out at a cryptocurrency mining facility located in a building in Samcheon-dong, Wansan-gu, Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, South Korea. The fire was extinguished approximately 50 minutes later. There were no casualties, but around 110 mining rigs were destroyed, resulting in property damage valued at approximately 9 million Korean won (as estimated by the fire department). Authorities reported that about 30 of the 110 mining machines were actively operating at the time of the incident. Police and fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire together with witnesses.
