TechFlow reported, according to Cointelegraph, billionaire investor Mark Cuban said he lost access to his Gmail account after receiving a call from someone impersonating a Google employee.
On June 22, Cuban wrote on X: "Someone pretending to be a Google employee called me from the number 650-203-0000 using the name Noah, claiming my account was hacked and spoofed Google's recovery process, resulting in my [email protected] email being compromised."
Cuban warned his 8.8 million followers on X: "If anyone receives an email from [email protected] after 3:30 PM Pacific Time, it's not me." This incident occurred just nine months after Cuban's cryptocurrency wallet was stolen.
