TechFlow news: Blockchain gaming startup Playtron has partnered with Mysten Labs to launch a handheld gaming device called SuiPlay0x1, aiming to challenge established giants like Steam and Nintendo in the handheld console market.
This portable gaming console will run on the Linux-based Playtron operating system and will be capable of playing Sui games, other blockchain games, and PC titles from platforms such as Steam and Epic Games Store starting in 2025.
In addition, SuiPlay0x1 will feature deep native integration with the Sui blockchain, allowing users to access their Sui assets through their Playtron accounts.
Playtron recently announced $10 million in funding, backed by several supporters including Mysten Labs. The project's founders stated that SuiPlay0x1 will be priced affordably, aiming to attract more users into the world of crypto gaming.
