TechFlow News, Ordinals founder Casey has announced the release of version ord 0.17.0, which includes the final implementation of Runes.
Key updates in this new version include:
- Introduction of a hardcoded Genesis Rune UNCOMMON•GOODS.Etchings, supporting commit/reveal schemes and can be paused/resumed via the
ord wallet resumecommand. ord wallet inscribenow supports only single inscriptions; multiple inscriptions and Rune minting should use theord wallet batchcommand.- The API now returns the effective content type of inscriptions, enabling finer control and more detailed information during minting.
- Rune issuance now supports start and end heights, as well as supply limits.
- Wallets can now generate multiple receiving addresses at once.
- Direct navigation by ID to inscriptions, Runes, and outpoints is now possible, along with hash search in the explorer without requiring specific paths.
