TechFlow news: The OpenAI Startup Fund has announced the opening of applications for Converge 2, a six-week program aimed at exceptional engineers, designers, researchers, and product builders using artificial intelligence to reshape the world. Founders from diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and experience levels are encouraged to apply—prior experience with AI systems is not required. Through technical talks, office hours, networking events, and conversations with leading practitioners, the program will collaboratively explore the most critical opportunities and challenges in building at the forefront of AI. Participants will receive $1 million in funding from the OpenAI Startup Fund and gain access to its builder community.
The application deadline is January 26, 2024, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. The program will include 10 to 15 companies and does not require products to be built on OpenAI's API. Running from March 11 to April 19, 2024, it will require approximately 4 to 6 hours per week. The first and final weeks will take place in San Francisco, while the remaining weeks can be completed remotely—although organizers strongly encourage in-person participation.
The Converge program was first launched in December 2022 with the goal of accelerating startups at the forefront of this evolution and pushing the boundaries of applied AI in significant domains.
