TechFlow News — Japanese entertainment and gaming startup Gacha Monsters has secured $3 million in seed funding, led by Animoca Brands, with participation from Infinity Ventures Crypto, FBG, Big Time Games, and others.
Gacha Monsters' first in-house developed game is Poglin, which will launch its alpha version in Q1 2024. The company plans to build Poglin into a multimedia IP spanning anime, gaming, Web3, and physical merchandise.
The company is led by Jia Shen, a game developer who previously worked on titles such as Pokémon Medallion, Battle Cats, and the international version of Disney Tsum Tsum.
