TechFlow news — In a recent interview, Vitalik Buterin stated: "Crypto projects don't need to be decentralized. IOTA and XRP are still completely centralized, yet they're still listed as crypto assets on CoinMarketCap."
Buterin also pointed out, "XRP hasn't apologized for their previous smear campaign, when in December 2020 they claimed in documents submitted to the U.S. government that XRP should be favored over Bitcoin and Ethereum."
Members of the XRP community expressed dissatisfaction with Buterin's comments. RIZ.XRP said Buterin is "crushing" other crypto projects like XRP that exist outside of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Other XRP supporters shared examples aiming to demonstrate that ETH is more centralized than XRP.
This isn't the first time Buterin has criticized XRP. In 2020, Buterin urged Ethereum supporters not to defend Ripple in its legal battle with the SEC.
