TechFlow reports that Flashbots, an Ethereum infrastructure service, has launched the beta version of its MEV-Share protocol, aiming to distribute a portion of Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) rewards back to Ethereum users. The MEV-Share protocol is included within Flashbots Protect—a remote procedure call (RPC) tool that integrates with user wallets and is designed to protect against bots attempting to profit by frontrunning user transactions.
Flashbots claims that MEV-Share enables users to adjust privacy settings and manage order flow sharing, preventing frontrunning while selectively sharing transaction information with searchers operating MEV bots. As a result, users become eligible for "MEV redistribution rewards" while maintaining a baseline level of privacy.
