TechFlow News, according to Beaconcha data, transactions at epoch 162304 on the Ethereum Goerli testnet have been finalized, marking the successful completion of the Shapella upgrade on this testnet.
Earlier, CoinDesk reported that the Ethereum Goerli testnet activated the Shapella upgrade at epoch 162304 at 06:25 Beijing time, but due to low validator participation rates, that epoch had not yet been finalized. During a YouTube livestream, Ben Edgington, product manager for Teku, an Ethereum client, acknowledged that the low participation rate might have resulted from validators failing to upgrade their nodes in time for the Goerli fork.
Ethereum developers will hold their biweekly call on Thursday to finalize the date for the Shanghai upgrade on the mainnet. During the previous biweekly call, developers discussed targeting an early April timeframe for the mainnet upgrade, slightly later than their initial March timeline.
On March 2, it was reported that following the Goerli testnet upgrade, the mainnet Shapella upgrade is expected to occur 3 to 4 weeks afterward.Original link
