TechFlow news: The Ethereum Foundation has announced in a blog post that the Shapella network upgrade will activate on the Sepolia network at block height 56832, approximately at 12:04:48 Beijing time on February 28, 2023.
This upgrade follows The Merge and enables validators to withdraw staked ETH from the Beacon Chain back to the execution layer. It also introduces new functionalities for both the execution and consensus layers, combining changes to the execution layer (Shanghai), consensus layer (Capella), and the engine API. The Zhejiang testnet can be used to test Shapella features prior to the Sepolia upgrade.
