TechFlow news, the Ethereum Foundation announced in a recently published article that the Shanghai+Capella (Shapella) mainnet upgrade is now entering the final pre-release phase—the public testnet.
Shapella includes many features, but the most significant for stakers and the consensus layer is the support for withdrawals. Exited validators will be able to withdraw their full balance, while active validators with balances exceeding 32 ETH will be able to make partial withdrawals. Additionally, the first long-standing public testnet, Sepolia, is scheduled to undergo the upgrade on February 28.
On February 7, the Zhejiang testnet—the first public testnet for the Shanghai upgrade—successfully activated the Shanghai upgrade upon reaching its predetermined block height. Previously, developers indicated that after the Sepolia testnet upgrade, the Shanghai upgrade is planned to be deployed on the Ethereum Goerli testnet at the end of February or early March. After a successful transition, it will move to the mainnet. Source link
