TechFlow news — Today, a domestic media outlet published an article titled "Ripple Community Update: Incentives and Support for XRP Holders."
The article claims that since November 2020, Ripple (XRP) has been rapidly moving toward economic recovery. It states that the reserve for this economic rebound will exceed 5 billion XRP and will be strictly distributed to individual wallets on a whitelist.
According to tips from TechFlow readers, this message was released by a phishing website. “When I opened the webpage and entered my cryptocurrency address, it asked me to provide my private key. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was a phishing site,” one reader reported.
TechFlow's investigation found that Ripple’s official website does not have this article. The article “Ripple Community Update: Incentives and Support for XRP Holders” was published on a fake website. Registering for the whitelist requires users to submit sensitive information such as wallet addresses and private keys, making it a phishing link. (The fake website is https://ripple.com.bz/; the legitimate website is https://ripple.com/).
