TechFlow reports, on July 24, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has registered an X platform account, and the official NVIDIA account NVIDIA AI has followed this account.

In his first post, Huang shared an open letter signed by NVIDIA, emphasizing the importance of open models. He stated that AI will reshape various industries, empower enterprises of all kinds, and will be built jointly by nations worldwide. Huang believes that open models help enhance safety and cybersecurity levels, accelerate the process of technological innovation and adoption, and strengthen the technological sovereignty of nations. Meanwhile, the world needs both frontier closed-source models and frontier open models.

The open letter pointed out that open-weight models can expand access to the AI economy, enhance market competition, and grant users more control. Co-signatories include Meta, Microsoft, Andreessen Horowitz, Hugging Face, IBM, Mistral AI, Palantir, Perplexity, Mozilla, Y Combinator, among others.

The letter also mentioned that although open-weight models carry certain risks, their development should not be restricted through bans, but rather AI safety and cybersecurity capabilities should be enhanced through openness. Huang emphasized again: "The world needs both frontier closed-source models and frontier open models."
