TechFlow reports, July 20, according to Bloomberg, UK startup CuspAI, founded just two years ago, has raised nearly $500 million, with its core bet being the use of artificial intelligence to improve semiconductor production processes. On Monday, CuspAI announced the establishment of the "AI Material Foundry," an alliance that brings together more than 48 tech companies, industrial companies, and research institutions, including members such as Nvidia, Meta, and Hyundai Motor Group.
The alliance plans to integrate computing resources and research capabilities to develop software that helps researchers discover and design new materials faster and at lower costs. Application scenarios are not limited to chip manufacturing but also extend to other industrial fields. The report notes that the world's most constrained semiconductor production relies on large amounts of energy and rare minerals, and CuspAI hopes to improve the efficiency of related material research and development through artificial intelligence.
