TechFlow News, July 18: According to The New York Times, three sources revealed that Meta Platforms (META.O) is negotiating to rent out its own AI data center computing power to Anthropic, with this two-year cooperation agreement potentially worth up to $10 billion. Sources said that Anthropic proposed this cooperation plan in June, Meta is currently evaluating it, and deal details are still being adjusted. According to the plan, Anthropic will pay Meta in monthly installments over two years, and both companies have the right to terminate the agreement early.
The scale of computing power procurement Anthropic proposed to Meta this time is only one-third of the contract signed with SpaceX in May this year. Insiders said that negotiations are still in the early stages and may not ultimately materialize. (Jin10)
