TechFlow news, July 16, according to CNBC reports, U.S. prediction market platform Kalshi stated that a teleprompter operator is under investigation by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission for allegedly trading prediction contracts related to public speeches by U.S. President Trump.
Kalshi stated that its monitoring team discovered abnormal trading patterns related to this in March of this year and handed the leads over to regulators. The involved account allegedly profited over $90,000, most of which has been frozen. The platform also stated that, confirmed through account review and monitoring procedures, the account holder is a federal government employee and serves as a teleprompter operator.
