TechFlow news, on June 29, SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer 23pds stated in a post on X that cURL fixed 18 security vulnerabilities, involving issues such as authentication bypass, memory safety, and host verification, with one of the libcurl vulnerabilities having existed for approximately 25 years. The risks involve applications, SDKs, containers, firmware, gateways, and CI/CD environments that widely rely on libcurl. It is recommended to upgrade cURL/libcurl as soon as possible and check whether an old version of libcurl is in use, paying special attention to scenarios involving mTLS, proxy authentication, and connection reuse.
