TechFlow News, June 28: According to the Financial Times, Google has imposed restrictions on Meta’s use of its Gemini AI model, as Meta’s computational demands have exceeded Google’s capacity to supply. The report states that around March, Google informed Meta it could not fulfill Meta’s full request for Gemini computing power and added that this shortfall disrupted and delayed some of Meta’s internal AI projects. The report also notes that several of Google’s other customers were similarly affected, albeit to a lesser extent. The Financial Times emphasized that Meta was hit especially hard, given its unusually high demand for Google’s models. (Jinshi)
