TechFlow News, June 14: According to Al Arabiya Television, U.S. and Iranian delegations are expected to hold an online meeting to advance the signing of a peace agreement. The report states that mediators from Pakistan and Qatar will participate in the meeting.
According to related reports, the meeting may result in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in attendance.
The report also notes that, if the agreement is ultimately finalized, the Strait of Hormuz will resume open navigation, allowing vessels to pass through this globally critical energy transportation corridor without paying transit fees.
However, as of now, neither the U.S. nor Iran has officially released the text of the agreement or issued an official confirmation regarding the report. Markets remain closely monitoring subsequent negotiation developments and the potential impact of the Strait of Hormuz’s navigability on global energy and financial markets.
