TechFlow News, June 6: U.S. Central Command stated, “On June 4, U.S. forces intercepted multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched toward the Strait of Hormuz and neighboring Gulf states. Prior to this, U.S. Central Command had shot down four Iranian one-way attack UAVs targeting the Strait of Hormuz—UAVs that posed a direct threat to maritime traffic in the region.”
Subsequently, to prevent further maritime attacks, U.S. forces struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar stations located in Gorouk and on Qeshm Island. Preliminary assessments indicate that six of the Iranian-launched missiles were intercepted, while the seventh failed to hit its intended target.
There are currently no reports of U.S. personnel casualties; Iran’s claim that it struck and damaged the U.S. Fifth Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain is false. U.S. Central Command forces remain on high alert and stand ready to continue taking action in self-defense against Iran’s unprovoked acts of aggression.”
