TechFlow News, June 2. According to Fortune, Noble Mobile—a low-cost mobile communications service provider founded by former U.S. presidential candidate Andrew Yang—has acquired Helium Mobile. The acquisition amount has not been disclosed.
Following the acquisition, Noble Mobile will integrate into Helium Network’s crypto-powered cellular hotspot network. Helium Mobile’s plans and services are expected to remain unchanged in the short term. Nova Labs will retain all businesses except Helium Mobile, including its data offloading services for major carriers; Helium’s token ecosystem will continue to be governed by the Helium DAO.
Helium Mobile launched its nationwide unlimited-data plan in December 2023 and has accumulated nearly 600,000 registered users, though it has yet to achieve profitability.
