TechFlow News, May 7: According to Saudi media Alhadath and Al Arabiya, sources reported that the U.S. and Iran have reached a consensus to gradually reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for easing maritime blockades; a breakthrough in the situation involving vessels stranded in the Strait is expected within the next few hours. International oil prices plunged sharply in the short term—WTI crude fell over 3% intraday, while Brent crude dropped nearly 3%.
