TechFlow News, April 30: According to an official PayPal announcement, on April 29, 2026, PayPal announced a strategic restructuring, consolidating its business into three major segments: Checkout Solutions & PayPal, Consumer Financial Services & Venmo, and Payment Services & Cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency segment will integrate Braintree, small- and medium-sized business (SMB) payment processing, and the stablecoin PYUSD.
At the executive level, Frank Keller has been appointed President of Checkout Solutions & PayPal, while Jeff Pomeroy will serve as Interim Head of Payment Services & Cryptocurrency. Diego Scotti, Head of Consumer Business, and Michelle Gill, Head of Small Business & Financial Services, will depart the company.
The company will provide further details about the new operating model during its earnings call on May 5.
