TechFlow News, April 17: According to an article published in the journal Qiushi by the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, China will accelerate the development of a distinctive Chinese cyber legal system suited to the needs of internet development—particularly strengthening legislation in areas such as artificial intelligence, the digital economy, network infrastructure, satellite internet, and blockchain—striving to ensure that cyber legislation keeps pace with the advancement of informatization. The article also notes that, as of December 2025, China has enacted over 180 laws and regulations in the cyber domain; however, compared to the rapid development of information technology, the pertinence and effectiveness of cyber legislation still fall short of public expectations.
