TechFlow News, April 14: According to HashKey, Dr. Feng Xiao, Chairman and CEO of HashKey (3887.HK), attended the 2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit on April 13 and delivered a keynote speech titled “When Tokens Meet Tokens: A First-Principles Perspective on the Digital Revolution of Information and Value.”
Dr. Xiao stated that AI and blockchain share a foundational commonality in the core concept of “token,” yet they operate across distinct dimensions: In AI, tokens break down language, images, and other forms of information into units understandable by machines—the essence being “understanding the world.” In blockchain, tokens transform assets and rights into digitally verifiable, transferable, and programmable units—the essence being “value distribution.”
Dr. Xiao emphasized that true transformation arises from the deep integration of the two: AI serves as the “brain,” driving decision-making and creation, while blockchain acts as the “hands, feet, and skeleton,” providing incentive mechanisms and constraint frameworks for AI’s actions. Their convergence will give rise to the “agent economy,” enabling machines not only to process information but also—within defined rules—to participate in value creation and distribution, becoming autonomous entities capable of understanding the world and engaging in economic activity. He noted, “This is not merely technological advancement; it may well represent a leap toward an entirely new civilizational paradigm.”
