TechFlow News: On April 6, according to on-chain analyst Yujin (@EmberCN), Resolv Labs—a stablecoin protocol—upgraded its smart contract approximately one hour ago to burn roughly 36.73 million $USR tokens (held as wstUSR) still remaining in the attacker’s address.
Previously, on March 22, the attacker exploited a minting vulnerability to mint approximately 80 million USR tokens without collateral. Of these, around 34 million USR tokens were sold and exchanged for 11,409 ETH (approximately $24.48 million), now held at address 0x8ED...81C. The remaining ~46 million USR tokens were already burned from the attacker’s address via a prior contract upgrade initiated by the project team. Taking all this into account, the actual loss from this vulnerability exploitation has been reduced to approximately $34 million.
