TechFlow News, March 31: According to Business Wire, Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ: IBKR) announced that its subsidiary, Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, has officially launched cryptocurrency trading services for eligible individual investors in the European Economic Area (EEA). The entity has been authorized as a crypto-asset service provider in the EEA.
Users can trade 11 cryptocurrencies on the same platform—including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Sui (SUI)—and manage them alongside traditional assets such as stocks, options, futures, foreign exchange, and bonds within a unified account.
Cryptocurrency trading is available 24/7, with commission rates ranging from 0.12% to 0.18% of the trade value. There are no hidden spreads, markups, or custody fees, and limit orders are supported.
