TechFlow News, March 31: Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated in an interview with ESPN that the CFTC will rigorously fulfill its regulatory responsibilities to combat manipulated prediction market contracts. The agency is currently collaborating with multiple professional sports leagues to address prediction market manipulation and ensure that related mechanisms are properly designed. Selig added that when sports leagues raise concerns about potential manipulation risks associated with proposed prediction market contracts, the CFTC will conduct careful evaluations and may take action to prohibit such noncompliant contracts from listing.
