TechFlow News, March 25: According to CoinTelegraph, M1X Global—the company behind the Marshall Islands’ UBI program—has secured a $3 million angel funding round. Investors include Balaji Srinivasan, former CTO of Coinbase, and Tama Churchouse, CEO of Cumberland Labs, among other cryptocurrency industry figures. The funds will be used to expand the USDM1 digital sovereign bond into institutional markets. The USDM1 was launched on the Stellar blockchain in December last year; however, the IMF has warned that the project poses fiscal risks and cybersecurity vulnerabilities, noting that its returns are disproportionate to its risks.
