Japan and the U.S. to Jointly Develop AI-Powered Shipbuilding Robots
According to the Nikkei Asia, Japan and the United States plan to jointly develop AI-powered robots for the shipbuilding industry, with an agreement expected to be reached at the Washington Summit scheduled for this Thursday. Japan aims to double its domestic shipbuilding output by 2035 compared to 2024 levels. Additionally, the two countries will cooperate on topics including joint rare-earth development, responses to disruptions in critical mineral supply chains, and cyber and economic security dialogues.
