TechFlow News: On March 16, according to Caixin.com, the Digital RMB Operations Management Center officially disclosed three common fraud schemes: Scheme One: Fraudsters falsely claim to be promoting the Digital RMB to conduct pyramid scheme scams. The Digital RMB has never launched activities such as “recruiting promoters,” “promoter qualification exams,” “scanning QR codes for registration,” or “developing downlines,” nor does it charge an installation service fee of RMB 400 per device. Any recruitment of “unofficial promoters” via chat groups or offline/online meetings is fraudulent. Scheme Two: Fraudsters lure victims into transferring funds under the guise of “task-based cashback.” Scheme Three: Fraudsters trick users into downloading counterfeit apps to steal personal information or funds.
