TechFlow News, March 6: According to a Cointelegraph report, Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer at Bitwise, stated that the traditional “altcoin season”—characterized by broad-based market rallies—may have ended, giving way to a “non-traditional” altcoin cycle.
Hougan believes the next altcoin season will be more differentiated, primarily rewarding assets with “real-world applications” and “intrinsic value,” rather than the past pattern of “a rising tide lifting all boats.” He noted: “I don’t think we’ll see another rotation-style rally—from Bitcoin to ETH to DeFi to NFT images.”
