TechFlow News: On February 21, on-chain analyst Specter posted on X stating that the IoTeX (@iotex_io) project appears to have suffered a private key leak, resulting in an attack on its token vault and total losses of approximately $4.3 million. The attacker withdrew assets from multiple contracts, including USDC, USDT, IOTX, PAYG, WBTC, and BUSD, then swapped the stolen assets for ETH—of which 45 ETH has already been bridged to the Bitcoin network.
The attacker also minted 111 million $CIOTEX tokens at address 0xA467a6c7cA8e812E997bfe50Ce4E7991aAd00A88.
