TechFlow reports that on February 17, Pump.fun officially announced the launch of its new Cashback Coins feature, enabling token creators to choose—prior to token issuance—to refund the entire Creator Fee to traders instead of the token deployer. Pump.fun stated that while Creator Fees play a positive role in supporting teams, creators, and founders in growing and succeeding, many tokens have achieved success without an associated team or project lead—resulting in token deployers receiving disproportionate rewards despite not being entitled to such fees. Unlike tokens that charge Creator Fees, Cashback Coins are ineligible for CTO (Creator Token Offering). Users can claim cashback rewards via the “Rewards” section of the Pump.fun mobile app. Once a token is issued, this decision becomes permanently locked.
