TechFlow News, February 10: According to a report by Malay Mail, Malaysian tech entrepreneur Arsyan Ismail sold the domain name AI.com for approximately $70 million in April 2025. The buyer was Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com.
Arsyan purchased the domain in October 1993 at age 10 for $100 (approximately RM256 at the time), purely because “AI” matched the initials of his name. This transaction is considered one of the largest publicly disclosed domain name sales in history. Now 43 years old, Arsyan is an early Bitcoin adopter who remains active in blockchain and cryptocurrency development. He is also a collector of rare digital assets, including ultra-short email addresses, web domains, and ENS names.
