TechFlow News: On February 10, according to PRNewswire, Blockchain.com has officially been granted registration for cryptoasset business activities by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As a company originally founded in York, UK, Blockchain.com has been deeply engaged in the UK’s crypto ecosystem for over a decade. This registration enables the firm to offer compliant brokerage, custody, and institutional-grade crypto services within the UK.
This milestone follows the company’s receipt last year of authorization under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), which permits it to provide crypto services across all 30 European Economic Area (EEA) countries. Blockchain.com plans to apply for full authorization later this year, aiming to achieve comprehensive authorization when the new permanent regulatory regime takes effect in 2027.
