TechFlow news: On February 9, according to Decrypt, cryptocurrency industry advertising during this year’s Super Bowl LX shrank from a multi-company marketing blitz four years ago to just Coinbase. Unlike the 2022 Super Bowl—dubbed the “Crypto Bowl”—which featured celebrity-endorsed ads from multiple crypto firms, including the now-bankrupt exchange FTX, Coinbase’s one-minute ad this year adopted a karaoke format, displaying lyrics from the Backstreet Boys’ 1997 hit “Everybody,” rather than the scannable QR code ad used in 2022.
