TechFlow News, February 7: According to The Block, Giannis Antetokounmpo—NBA star and forward for the Milwaukee Bucks—previously announced he has become a shareholder in Kalshi, a prediction market platform regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). A company spokesperson revealed that Antetokounmpo holds less than 1% of Kalshi’s shares; however, the exact stake was not disclosed, nor was the precise gap between his actual ownership and the 1% threshold. Still, given Kalshi’s recent $11 billion valuation, a 1% stake would be worth $110 million.
